PHILOSOPHY
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner specializing in the care of children and adolescents aged 6-17 years, my philosophy is rooted in providing compassionate, individualized, and holistic care that prioritizes the unique needs of each child and family. I believe that mental health treatment should be grounded in evidence-based, conservative management strategies that respect the developmental stage and cultural background of each patient. I am committed to working with diverse populations, recognizing that factors such as culture, socioeconomic status, and family dynamics play a crucial role in shaping a child's experience of anxiety and depression.
My approach is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where young people feel empowered to explore their emotions and challenges. I strive to incorporate holistic care practices, considering the physical, emotional, social, and environmental factors that contribute to mental health. By collaborating with families, schools, and other healthcare professionals, I aim to develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that support long-term wellness and resilience, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
