Allison Vogt, MSN, PMHNP

PHILOSOPHY

I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 20 years of experience working in healthcare organizations providing behavioral health, primary care, and multispecialty services. My experience includes working with conditions such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, psychosis, and substance use disorders. I am particularly passionate about the treatment of anxiety disorders, including social and performance anxiety.

I have a special interest in providing care for individuals experiencing life transitions, co-occurring medical and psychiatric illness, and depressive symptoms such as loss of interest, difficulty concentrating, and low motivation. I create a therapeutic environment that is free of judgment and focused on empowering individuals to improve their mental and physical wellness. I have additional training and certification through the Neuroscience Education Institute, which allows me to provide personalized, current, and evidence-based medication management.

I promote wellness by offering supportive therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. In addition to medication management and psychotherapy, I help individuals improve their quality of life by offering nutritional education and support, focusing on improved sleep, and promoting healthy relationships.

BIO

I have lived and worked in Central Oregon for 20 years. Prior to living in Oregon, I lived in California, Alaska, and Vermont. I enjoy traveling internationally with the intention of gaining a deeper understanding of and connection to our global community. My favorite activities include hiking at Smith Rock State Park, road biking, painting with my friends and family, and reading.
