PHILOSOPHY

I am a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Women's Nurse Practitioner with a decade of experience working within diverse clinical settings. I have partnered with individuals and families experiencing a myriad of mental and physical challenges developing deep empathy for the human experience in all of its complexity. I work collaboratively with each patient to create a personalized care plan integrating evidence-based practices with integrative and complementary approaches. I adopt a holistic approach, acknowledging the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. I understand that mental health is influenced by various factors, including biological, psychological, social, and environmental aspects.

I respect the fluidity of life's transitions and uphold autonomy, meeting each person where they are at any given time. I embrace diversity and am honored to help others find answers, healing and hope.  At the core of my philosophy is the belief that each person is a unique individual deserving of respect, empathy, and dignity.

While I work with individuals across the lifespan experiencing diverse mental health conditions, I have unique expertise in hormone-mediated mood disorders and perinatal and postpartum mental health issues. In addition to my expertise in women's integrative mental health, I am particularly interested in trauma recovery, including those in the medical profession, law enforcement, military and first responders facing PTSD and burnout. Recognizing these individuals' unique challenges and stressors, I provide a safe and understanding space to seek compassionate assistance.

I stay current with the latest research and developments in the field of psychiatry. I incorporate this knowledge into my clinical decision-making process, ensuring that my patients receive the most effective and up-to-date treatments available.

By promoting self-awareness and self-management, I  help individuals to develop coping skills, resilience, and a sense of control over their mental health. Through compassionate and patient-centered philosophy of care, I strive to empower individuals, support their recovery, and improve their quality of life.

BIO

I have called Oregon my home for over 25 years.  I am a mom to six amazing humans,  owner and spoiler of two comical bulldogs (a Frenchie named Bentley and an English named Boo). Whenever I get a chance, I love to roam and explore, always looking for a warm spot next to the ocean or a brilliant mountain trail. No matter what anyone says, shooting stars are magical, and you are never too old to make mud pies.
