PHILOSOPHY

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, my care philosophy is grounded in evidence-based practice and a strong therapeutic relationship that allows for collaborative decision-making with each patient.  I use a holistic approach to understand mental health that includes both the needs of the individual and the systemic structures that impact each person. I strive to create a space of psychological safety that honors and affirms each person, including their cultural, queer, and neurodivergent identities. I consider medication to be just one tool in effective, multifaceted mental health support.

BIO

I grew up in Eugene, OR and Davis, CA and have lived in Portland since 2019.  I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. I enjoy travel, gardening, board games, and spending quality time with my spouse and our pets.
