PHILOSOPHY

As a PMHNP, my practice is shaped by my core values of authenticity, vulnerability, and compassion. I have been a consumer of mental health services throughout much of my life, and I recognize the complexities in seeking care. I deeply value my personal experience with mental illness and use this to provide the foundation for an empathetic and therapeutic relationship for the diverse people I partner with. I employ a collaborative approach to meet each person’s unique needs, striving to meet people where they are. Understanding that each person has diverse perspectives of mental wellness, I utilize evidence-based medications, psychotherapy, and integrative methods to support and empower my patients. While I have a background with a variety of mental health conditions, I have a particular expertise in neurodivergence, severe and persistent mental illness, and individuals with disabilities. Additionally, I appreciate working with LGBTQIA+ and gender-expansive people.

BIO

I was born and raised in Portland, OR and enjoy life in the Pacific Northwest. I am a dog dad to two very spoiled pit bulls (Autumn & Hunter). In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with friends, and traveling to new destinations. I identify as gay and am an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and people with disabilities.
